ITS OFFICIAL KAWANA FORCE CLUB CHAMPIONS FOR SEASON 08

Its OFFICIAL Kawana Force is the champion club for 2008.
We have been trying to get the message out there about how good a season we had Completed and now this been declared Official at the Sunshine Coast Football Assn annual awards ceremony.
When the award was announced the President went up to receive the trophy on behalf of the entire club. He was unable to say a lot as he was speechless. True.
Along with the swag of trophies that we won in August and during finals football we have now to look around for a Trophy display cabinet for all the Silverware.
Everyone at the club take a bow, but do not relax as there were still some trophies that we had our hands on only to see them slip away.
These were championship and grand Final winners in various ages.
We did not get anywhere near the referees choice of club, due to the number of yellow and red cards that we received through the season. So let’s work on that.
The senior teams presentation night was a great night. A list off all perpetual trophies will be on the web soon once the amphora of winning the Holy Grail of trophies calms down. On a side note our club win was greeted and well received by other club‘s, this is no small part to the manner in which we play the games and conduct ourselves at Matches.
There is a down side to this, we now need to buy another trophy cabinet for the club house to Show our silverware to the best. If you know where the club may be able to purchase one could you let us know new or second hand?

AGM report

The AGM was well attended in comparison to previous years and this reflects the positive attitude that the club has tried to nurture.
The club is in a better position than it was twelve months ago and thanks to this must go to the Management changing the ways the club has been operating; the auditor’s report was received and approved by the members. The Treasurer Lynda Hansen, a large part in the turnaround of the finances, however Lynda did say that we still need to address pilfering of playing equipment and stock that is still going on at a cost to the club.
The executive positions have been nearly all filled and the full list will be available as soon as time allows.
We would like to announce that Julie Taylor & Debbie Keslake have taken on the NEW role of looking into fundraising and may also be able assist the Management committee in the Grant application, which are very important .We, are sure that everyone will get behind and support them. Should anyone out there be interested in assisting this great cause please contact either the management or the two ladies
Rae Mackney has also agreed to assist our registrar Jacqui Kennedy out this season with the registration of the seniors. This can be a major challenge at times although this coming season we hope to have E-pay in Position for all registrations senior and junior.
During the Meeting Martin Roth was elected a life member to the club so congratulations and thanks for the effort over many years.
The meeting also recognised the 20 years service that Jim Lalor, with a Set of Qld number plates KSC 08 Blue & Gold , so if you are out and about and see these plates on a Land cruiser .Please do not display any form of road rage as he is one of ours.
There is one important Position that does need filling ASAP is Admin & publicity. This job is keeping the web up to date liaising with the media this important position was previously managed by Kayleen. Who has said that she will continue to look after the Kindy Football for the club Kawana Force to have a steady stream of Stars to call on in future years

Believe it or not !

Believe it or not! The 08 season has just finished. The club has a new Coach installed for 09 this may be part of the reason that three players have been seen visiting the Gym three days a week, and also one of them has given up smoking, the players wish to remain anonymous, and say that this is just to get fit for the pre season fitness. They can remember how hard Roger Hardwicke trained when he was a player at the club. This all points to an improved attitude in the senior ranks and all supporters can look forward to a promising season. The Force will do fine in 09
